UAE – Mubasher: Expo 2020 Dubai has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support innovators seeking to improve the lives of people that are facing many challenges.

The innovators, which will be supported by the partnership, include PichaEats, a Malaysia-based catering and meal-box service, and myAgro, which helps smallholder farmers in Mali to save funds to purchase high-quality agricultural supplies via cell phone technology.

Seenaryo, focusing the life skills and academic achievement of children in refugee and local communities in Lebanon and Jordan, will also benefit from the partnership.

Teaming up with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is in line with Expo Live, a global innovation programme that encourages innovators working on creative solutions.

The Gates Foundation’s Emergency Response Programme, which strengthens communities' capabilities to respond to a crisis, will share expertise, best practices, and technical assistance.

It is noteworthy to mention that Expo 2020 has previously welcomed 23 new social innovators as part of its global innovation and partnership programme, Expo Live.
